Leera is a 6 year old Chihuahua, she is mostly house broken when kept on a regular schedule and crate trained. She just wants to spend her time lying on the couch next to her human. She would do well in a quiet home without too much commotion. She walks on a leash, but is not a fan of going potty on leash and would love a fenced in yard. She is good with other calm dogs, she has lived with cats.  She is shy and needs a home with patience and time to devote to her. She is vocal so not suitable for apartments or condos.

Leera suffers from Idiopathic Epilepsy, which means that there is not a medical reason for the episodes. The consulting veterinarian stated that at this time anti-seizure medication was not necessary because the episodes were not severe and the frequency of the episodes were still very low. Leera's new family will need to keep a journal of when episodes occur and how long the episodes last and monitor her condition.
