Medium energy level, He enjoys running around the house and outside playing with her foster siblings and kids.  His favorite thing is playing tug of war and fetch.  He also loves to be next to you, snuggling and getting belly rubs whenever you are sitting down.

Will walk on a leash.

He is a very vocal little guy, he howls a lot, especially when he wants food or to play.  He will also howl whenever he is excited that you are back home!

Overall Maculato is a super sweet lovey boy looking for his forever home where he can play outside and snuggle. He will need a home with a fenced in yard, he is a true hound dog and follows his nose everywhere.  The bigger the fence the better, he is a sneaky boy and will find ways out of the yard if they are there.  He doesn't necessarily need a companion sibling, but he does enjoy playing with his foster siblings all day and seems more at ease when other dogs are with him. 

Maculato came to Needy paws with two cherry eyes, for which surgery was done to correct them on Nov. 16th. He is recovering well, except one cherry eye has popped back out and he will need a follow up surgery in 3 months.  Needy paws will cover the surgery cost if Maculato is taken back to a Needy Paws Vet.

Maculato’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
