Carol Ann (we call her Annie) came to rescue as a stray with a nasty case of pneumonia.  She is now healthy and so grateful to be alive that she wants to celebrate every day!  Her age was estimated at 2yrs., but we think she may be closer to 1.  We don’t know her background, but everything seems new to her.
 
Annie is a happy dog. She has not been destructive in the house and sleeps quietly in her crate all night.
She loves all people, big and small.  But she has to learn to greet with a little less enthusiasm so she might be better with older children that she can’t knock over.
She loves food and is very treat-motivated which is helping with training. She knows sit and is working on stay and come.
She loves car rides, playing with her toys, and lots of exercise.
She loves to run in the yard, so a fenced yard would be preferred, or somewhere she can get regular exercise.  Actually, we think she might make an excellent running partner.
She loves other dogs but will want to play a lot so another dog with the same energy will work best.
She does NOT love the leash.  We are currently working on leash walking using a no pull harness. 
Sometimes she has a puppy-like energy and needs someone who wants to continue training a sweet rescue.
Continued socialization with other dogs will help her and make her so happy!  She would also be okay as a single dog if she is with an active family and has places to run.

She is a lover and a little goofy.  You can’t help but be happy around her!  She makes her foster mom laugh every day.  Beware, if you leave your shoes out, she likes to take one and hide it.  Luckily, she doesn’t chew it, just moves it! She is adorable with a shiny black coat, ears that do their own thing, a long curly tail and large front feet.

She can’t wait until she has her own forever family!    She has a lot of love to give you!!

Carol Ann’s adoption fee is $50.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
