My name is CHICO, an 8 yr old, 13 lb, Beautiful Red Pomeranian!

*Note: I was groomed very short because my undercoat was very matted. I'm still Cute as a Button! My Beautiful Red fur will come back (see photos). I need to be brushed to keep my hair free of tangles.

"Home a lot, no little kids, few steps, maybe a small fur sibling or not, fenced yard, give me my meds 3 times a day and willing to let me KISS (LICK!) you all the time, sometimes giving you a bath in kisses!"

I'm what you call a Lovable Couch Potato with some Spunk!

I'm older so I'm not interested in having little kids around.

I'm on seizure medication and haven't had a seizure for 4 years. So I need you to make sure I take my pills 3 times a day/every 8 hours. I usually take my pill in a little piece of cheese, but I'm willing to try anything you might have to hide my pill in!

I want a fenced yard to wander around, inspecting the yard.

Please don't have too many steps . I'm older and steps are not my friend!

I get along with dogs, but if I'm the only dog, I'm ok with ALL THE ATTENTION!

If you have a recliner, I will share it with you.

I sleep in my foster dad's recliner at night or sometimes on the sofa in the fluffy dog bed.

I will bark to le t you know I need to go outside .

I cry when you leave but I'm getting better at understanding that you'll be back. I just want you home a lot with me.

Chicos adoption fee is $125.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
