I'm Stabler, a 2 yr old 8 lb Yorkie.
My foster mom said I must tell you some things:
* I'm spunky so another mild mannered dog my size only would be okay because I like to be in charge and not fond of bigger dogs!
* I'm snippy, growly, bitey to people I don't know....wouldn't you be??? But my Foster Mom takes me to various stores to make me walk around a lot of people. She said I need to be socialized more.
* no kids under 16 because I don't want to get in trouble snapping at little kids.
* a fenced yard would be great and I'm also a "door darter" so you need to keep me safe.
* NO Apartment / Condo because I do like that high pitch bark I have.... it sounds good to me!!
* she said to tell you I'm a "Velcro dog" just because I want to be with you all the time!"
* I"m 90% potty trained and sometimes pee inside before I make it outside quick enough!
* I sleep on a super soft pillow on the floor next to your bed
* I love my foster mom, but she says I'm a "Daddy's Boy" too!!
* I have seasonal allergies and they said it's bad this season so I take allergy medicine.
**** My Perfect Forever Family would have a fenced yard, no little kids ever so I don't hurt anyone, maybe another little dog I can play with, retired and home a lot and keep me socialized with people. I think I need to continually see people around so I'm not so scared of people I don't know.

Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Stabler’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
