Meet Maxton! This good boy is a 5 month old hound mix puppy enjoys soaking up the sun, belly rubs, head scratches, a good bone, and walks around the neighborhood! He's a social butterfly in the park near our house and loves to say hello to everyone (dogs and people included!).
Maxton is VERY food motivated and this has made him easy to train. He knows his basic commands and listens well but will need someone to help him learn his puppy manners. He is close to being completely potty trained but will need positive reinforcement in his new home.
Maxton is crate trained, but is just as comfortable on a couch or bed with his human. He is a medium energy dog and is shaping up to be an active guy who loves a good walk, but knows how to lounge and nap with the best of them.
Maxton is currently in a house with two other dogs and does great. He would do fine in a house by himself or in a house with another buddy!
Other info:
- Maxton has not been cat tested, but he hasn't really shown a high prey drive so he could be cat friendly with the proper introduction.
- A fenced-in backyard is always appreciated, though Maxton would be fine without one.
- Maxton has not been kid tested, but I think he would do great with kids as he has been happy to see them and play with them at our park!

Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Our $250 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
