This cutie is Macks.  He looks like a large dachshund at about 40 lbs.  He is guessed to be a year and half old.  We are told he is a dachshund and heeler mix.  He is a little shy but warms up quickly.   He gets along very well with all the dogs in his foster home.  He is a very laid back boy, super sweet and affectionate.  He is housebroken and his foster mom does not crate him currently.   He does very well being left out of the crate but has decided to chew up a slipper that was left out.
He does jump on you out of excitement when you return from being gone. This is about the extent of his energy bursts however and is pretty chill.  He would love to be a cuddle bug with someone.  Loud environments may be intimidating to him as PetSMart is a little overwhelming for him.

If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Macks’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
