FENCED YARD REQUIRED
Do you need company during the day or someone to nap with? Chuckie is a PEACH! There’s not a mean bone in his body. He loves his “humans.” He’s an 11-yr old senior, 3-legged male mix who weighs about 15 lbs. He’s got a sad story being abandoned with a sibling by his owner and left in an outside pen. A kind woman fed the pair and contacted Needy Paws who rescued them.
He’s been in a great foster home for a couple of months recovering from a leg amputation. He had an old injury that healed but didn’t allow for movement. He was very overweight and now down to a slim 15 lbs so he can use his 3 legs better. He is housebroken and can use a doggie door, HOWEVER, he takes forever meds for a heart condition and high blood pressure (you’d never know it the way he gets around) so using a belly band or diaper may be a needed option depending on his new home.
His meds make him VERY thirsty and so he has to potty a lot. He needs a home with few steps and a family who can closely supervise him.
He gets along well with other animals and kids. He asks for lots of loving while being a bit skittish so he’ll need several weeks to decompress.
He is a hound mix with a hound bark so an apartment or condo may not be ideal. He’s highly food motivated (no surprise there) and so easy to have around. He’s learning to trust again and waiting patiently for his “furever” home.
