About Mitch | |
|
|
Things we love about Mitch:
- He has shown NO signs of aggression.
- Walks very well on a leash
- Does all his pottying outside
- Crate trained…. It is his safe place to go to and where he sleeps quietly all night
- Quickly showed he was ready to be cuddled, brushed, and petted
- He has a soft, shiny black coat and a fluffy tail that wags a lot
Things he is afraid of:
- People, especially those walking directly toward him
- Doors and Doorways
- Stairs
- Anything unexpected, like small noises
What he needs in his forever home:
- A secure fenced in yard, since his instinct is to run when he is spooked. And he has shown signs of wanting to play and do zoomies. He also needs to be leashed when not in the yard.
- A person or family who can work with a dog with semi-feral characteristics to socialize him
- Another calm, confident dog to play with him and help teach him about being a family dog.
- A crate – he needs a safe place to go when he is overwhelmed.
- We haven’t observed him with kids, but assume he would be okay, and maybe great, with those old enough to respect his special needs.
His foster mom says he will make a great and loving family pet. Could you be his perfect forever home?
