Meet Korkey a special needs Chihuahua.  He is a lover boy!!  He must be touching you, sitting on you and kissing your face.  He was born without elbows and his front legs are fused in a bent position.  It DOESN'T stop him at all.  He scoots across the floor at a rapid pace.  He is not outdoor potty trained as he gets bruised if he goes outside.  He IS pad trained with occasional misses.  Sometimes he waits too long.  He will need to be on Dasequin Chews to keep his back and joints lubricated.  He's got arthritis in his shoulders already. His deformity cannot be surgically repaired .  He is who he is and he doesn't know he's got a disability. He cannot do stairs of any kind, must be carried.  He is dog friendly, cat friendly and kid friendly with kids over 10. He sleeps in bed with his foster parents. He must be lifted onto the couch and bed.  If you're looking for a dog who doesn't require walks(unless in a stroller), no outside pottying in bad weather and who LOVES to cuddle and kiss you....He's your dude!

Korkey's adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
