Hi, I’m Teddie! I’m a 7-year-old Shih Tzu mix. At 25lbs, I enjoy being a lapdog but also going on walks and playing with toys. I get along well with other dogs when introduced properly and have done well living with my foster dog siblings. I need to go to a home with another dog as this helps with my separation anxiety. I do NOT like cats and will bark and scare them. My previous owners shared that I can be territorial and have nipped at children (never broken skin) when they come to visit so will do best in a calm household without young kids. 

I’m generally very cheerful, happy and cuddly. I do get a little territorial when I see someone walk by the house and bark at the front door if I see people or dogs outside. I am crate trained and sleep well throughout the night. I’m house trained and haven’t had any accidents at my foster home! I enjoy having a fenced in backyard, but as long as I get taken outside to do my business throughout the day, I do not have to have a fenced in yard. I know some basic commands like sit, but have never been properly trained and need some formal training both to know how to behave and to reduce my anxiety.

Teddie’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
