Meet Chevel. She is a 7 year old mix who is beautiful inside and out!!! She looked a little skinny to her foster mom, but the vet said she looked normal for a hunting dog, so I guess she has some of that in her. We are working on fattening her up a bit! She was an owner surrender who had her since she was a puppy, but life got too complicated to give her the attention they thought she deserved. She lived with a small child and other dogs. Chevy (that’s what foster mom calls her) has extremely good house manners. She is quiet and calm in the house, loves to sleep on her pillow. She is completely potty trained. She is quiet in her crate, but it does take some coaxing to get her in it. The previous owner said she slept at night on the floor by their bed. She does fine in her crate, too.
She loves to go outside, but needs some leash training. We are working on that. We think she would love a fenced yard to trot around in, although she would need to be supervised. We were told that she would dig or try to jump a gate to get out. We have had her out on a long leash, and we also have rooms gated off inside the house and we have not noticed any behavior like that. She rides well in the car.
Chevy has a lot of love to give her forever family. Could you give her that home she deserves? How can you resist that face??
