Guacamole is a  one and half year old Dachshund/Beagle mix.   This young man is not your regular pup!  He has many specific requirements for his new family!   You see, Guac came into Needy Paws as a feral dog!  He has been in his foster home for several months and has made great strides!  However he will still need an extremely patient family for him to continue learning how to be a dog. 

1. Guac will need a family with another confident dog to show him “how to dog”.
2. He will need a securely fenced yard, Guac would not be able to be caught if he would escape his yard.  
3. Kids scare Guac, so a home with no small children. 
When Guacamole came to his foster family, just looking in his direction caused him extreme stress and he would express his anal glands.  Over the past four months, he has made great strides.   He will let his foster momma pet him, but only when he comes to her.   He still does not want to be approached and will run and hide.  He will take tasty treats from his foster momma’s hand.  His crate is his safe place, even though he does not spend much time in his crate any longer- the door is always open for him to relax in his safe space.  
Guacamole’s foster momma will be very diligent to find the perfect home for him to continue to blossom and transition into a happy dog!

Guacamole’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
