Meet Chester! He is an American Eskimo Dog who is 10 years old and weighs 23 lbs. He looks like a fluffy polar bear and has the softest ears, along with the signature Eskie smile!
 
Don't let this little guy's age fool you: he still has plenty of pep in his step. Chester loves going on long walks and trips in the car. He gives lots of kisses and enjoys sleeping in bed with his humans along with a selection of comfy dog beds. He sits nicely to be brushed. When it's time to eat, he gets so excited that he does a "tippy tap dance"!
 
Chester is happy to be around other easygoing dogs, but doesn't necessarily want to play with them (he is more of a "people's dog"). He is a gentle boy and would be fine with kids as long as they're respectful. We don't know if he's ever been around cats, but we could cat test him if needed. Chester will bark to alert you to any people or dogs who approach his house, so he would not be the best fit for an apartment or condo. 
 
Chester is housetrained and already knows several commands, including "sit" and "come." Sometimes he gets excited and pulls on his leash on walks, so he could use some training on leash manners, but he is such a smart boy that he should have it down in no time. He had a dental cleaning last summer.

Chester’s adoption fee is $125.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
