FENCED YARD -- NO STEPS -- ANOTHER CONFIDENT DOG IN HOME -- NO CHILDREN

Meet LORETTA or "RETTA" for short, a Beautiful Female, 6 yr old, 11 lb Shih Tzu Mix.

=>She is a Mill Dog who received no love or human touch. She is VERY SHY and it has taken 4 months to get her to trust her foster parents although she still runs when you want to pick her up and will sometimes fear pee. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF you can give her time, patience and love while taking care of her needs and in return she will continue to grow each day learning to be a normal dog and trusting you as a family.

Loretta Needs a SECURE FENCED YARD - NO APARTMENTS / NO CONDOS
A QUIET home, NO Children UNDER 16.
A MUST => SHE NEEDS ANOTHER CONFIDENT DOG in the home; she CANNOT BE THE ONLY DOG.
NO STEPS.
She LOVES OUTSIDE and sits on the patio taking it all in!
She likes all sizes of dogs and can be a little playful with the right dog.

Loretta is so sweet but really DOES NOT understand how to love and be a family dog. Your dog will help with that.

She does not like sitting in your lap, but once she feels safe with you, you can have her sit on the sofa next to you and she lays in bed with foster parents at night. THIS WILL BE THE BEST TIME TO LOVE ON HER AND GAIN HER TRUST.

Her forever family must be VERY PATIENT and help her gain trust with the people around her.

She is food motivated and that does help in her training. She just recently started taking treats from your fingers.

IF YOU CANNOT PROVIDE FOR HER AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE DENIED.

If you are interested, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Loretta’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
