Ernie is the most charming guy to come from Oklahoma since Blake Shelton! And he's got the looks, too - with his soulful eyes, plumed tail, and soft black and tan coat. Needy Paws brought Ernie and a few other dogs to St. Louis from an overcrowded Oklahoma shelter. Now Ernie is ready to meet his forever family here in Missouri!
 
Ernie is housebroken and sleeps on a doggie bed through the night - no accidents.
 
He is smart, too! He began using the doggie door on his first day in his new foster home. He was doing some counter surfing, but after a few corrections he quickly stopped that behavior. He is eager to please and food-oriented, which makes training easier.
 
If you'd like an affectionate companion who frequently comes to you for pats and head scratches, this is your guy. He is sweet-natured and loving.  Ernie is great with other dogs, too. 
 
Ernie is pretty chill for his young age. When he discovered the toy box in his new foster home, he kept himself quietly entertained by trying out toy after toy.
 
Ernie would love a home with a secure fenced yard in which he can romp and play. 

Ernie is a typical puppy that will require ongoing training.

Ernie’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
