Roxy is an approximately 15 week old Boxer / Hound mix, currently weighing 20-25 lbs. Her mom was ~90 lbs., and judging by Roxy's paw size and other indicators, she will likely be a larger dog when full grown. She loves being around people or other animals. She is friendly with dogs and cats, but she may try to occasionally chase or play with the kitties (not aggressively). She hasn't been around kids yet, but we think she would do well with them too. However, Roxy is still working on obedience training, so she may try to jump up. For a puppy, she is doing very well with chewing only on toys and not on people, but she does occasionally require gentle corrections and redirections. Roxy loves sniffing around the backyard and running and playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She would LOVE a home with another dog in the house, or a fenced in yard, an active family, and/or a family willing to keep her frequently socialized (doggy day care, dog parks, play dates, etc.).

Roxy is still working on potty training. She has made some progress in her foster home, but she will require more training in her forever home. She doesn't mind her crate if someone is in the room with her, but she will cry and bark if left alone. At night, she gets a frozen Kong in her crate and this helps her quiet down, and then she stays pretty quiet in her crate throughout the night. Like all puppies, Roxy will need her forever family to continue her obedience training (including crate training) and help her learn the routine in her new home. As long as she's with her people, she's a happy pup!

Roxy is a typical puppy that will require ongoing training.
