Macy is approximately 8 months old, 35 pounds, and believed to be a Patterdale terrier / Labrador retriever mix. She is very calm and mature in her young age. Macy is very affectionate and likes getting pets and giving kisses. She's not a barker, so would be suitable for many households, including apartments or those who work from home. She is friendly with dogs and cats, but she may try to occasionally chase or play with the kitties (not aggressively). She hasn't been around kids yet, but we think she would do best with older children (very young kids might be too much for her, since she sometimes gets spooked with sudden movements/noises). Macy loves running around the backyard and playing with the other dogs in her foster home, so she would do best in a home with a fenced in yard, an active family, another dog in the house, and/or a family willing to keep her frequently socialized (doggy day care, dog parks, play dates, etc.).

 

Macy appears to be potty trained - she has only had one accident in her foster home. She also doesn't mind her crate at all - she goes in willingly and doesn't make a sound while in there. She even goes in there on her own sometimes to nap or chew on one of her toys! Her foster mom also thinks she would likely do well being left out of her crate once she gets used to her new home and routine, and she would love to sleep in bed with her new family or in their room with them on her own dog bed.
