Austin is a troubled soul looking for a very special home! He needs an adopter who is extremely patient, willing and able to chase him, and tolerant of his anti-social personality. He will also need another dog companion to cuddle and play with. Austin came from a back yard hoarding situation, and had very little human contact for the first 5 years of his life. We believe he also may have been abused, as he is scared of being pet or picked up. He has made slow and slight progress since coming to needy paws 3 months ago. As of now, Austin is still kept on a leash at all times so that we can catch him. 

Positives about Austin: As you can see, he is extremely cute. He has begun to snuggle with us in bed sometimes, as long as it is on his terms. He is mysteriously very well behaved on a walk and great at walking on a leash-he would love an owner who can take him on several walks a day. He is very dog friendly-for this reason we will require his owner to have at least one other dog for him to befriend. He would be happiest living with 1-3 other dogs. He isn’t very needy and is easy to care for.

Austin’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
