Laverne is 2 year old, female, Pointer/Setter mix. This girl is such a gentle one that has never been indoors!  She came to rescue when her family moved off and left her outside in her kennel.  Laverne climbed out of her kennel and got picked up in rural Missouri by animal control.  Laverne was set for euthanasia in the morning and Needy Paws was able to step up the evening before!!  I can not imagine such a sweet, young girl losing her life!  Laverne is friendly with everyone she meets, people, dogs, cats!  She has not had any accidents after her first night in her foster home.  She has been trustworthy indoors when her foster momma is gone, so Laverne is not crated any longer!   Laverne says that she can be easily tempted if there are any goodies left unattended on counters and if something in the trash smells yummy!   Both of these temptations are easily worked around until she learns proper lady-like manners!   Laverne loves playing with all the other dogs in her foster home.  She weighs about 50 pounds with a lean body and long legs.  Due to her ability to climb, a chain link fenced yard is not a good option for Laverne.  This sweet girl is ready to find her family that will give her all the love she soak up!

Laverne ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
