Meet Sutton! She is a llasa apso. We don't know exactly how old she is because of her history, but estimates range from 5 to 9. She is a former puppy mill breeder dog, so she spent most of her life until now in a cage with very little human interaction and she doesn't quite understand how things like stairs and leashes work. She is potty trained, super sweet, and loves to cuddle all day (she prefers to be the "little spoon") and sleep with her humans at night. She is scared of new people at first, but quickly warms up to them. 
 
Sutton weighs 20 lbs and should lose a few pounds to get to a healthy weight. She needs to be lifted up and down the stairs. Sutton loves to prance through the grass in my backyard and she would enjoy a fenced yard. She doesn't know how to walk on a leash yet, but she might learn with some training. Sutton is looking for a calm, gentle home with people who are home a lot. If that sounds like you, apply to meet her today!

Sutton ’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
