Corky is a beautiful, tri-colored , sweet and gentle-natured Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix.  Border Collie experience preferred and a FENCED yard is required.  She gets along well w/other dogs and is confident.  She is NOT confident among humans until her trust is gained which doesn't take long.  She's a stray rescue from Lebanon, MO and definitely needs an ACTIVE family and a yard to run.  She takes direction well, learns quickly and seems disinterested in cats.  She's 2-3 years old, weighs about 30 lbs and walks well on a leash.  She seems to be a typical "herder" although will stop w/direction.  She's very shy and submissive w/humans initially but  warms up.  She's good w/kids, likes the crate except when her humans are gone so we are working on that behavior.    She's very SMART, and needs a lot of activity to keep her busy. Daily walks are a must and doggie daycare.  She is learning basic commands and ready to learn more skills and the boundaries of her new home.  She'd make a great therapy dog w/training. She so loves her humans.

Corky ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
