Lona is a 1-2 year old approximately 40 lb mix (possibly border collie and blue heeler) with a sweet disposition and lots of fun playful puppy energy! She came to the rescue as a stray and was very scared. It is important that Lona’s family is patient with her at the beginning as she learns to trust and feel comfortable. Lona loves to play with other dogs, is cat friendly, and kid friendly. She would love a big fenced in yard more than anything. She is learning to walk properly on a leash, but is still pretty frightened. Lona responds well to commands but will need ongoing training, as she is very smart! Lona ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
