Hi friends! I will try to make this short and sweet, like me . My name is Charkey, short for Charcoal and I'm around 1.5 years old. Hate to brag, but I'm a bit of a survivor. You see, most puppies born with a cleft lip or palate, are not able to nurse properly, so you won't see alot of dogs who look like me. Last year, my person was evicted and left me behind. I had to munch on the bag of charcoal as food, for a couple weeks, until the nice people found me and rescued me. 

I have tried out a few homes, but they didn't work out for me. I have stayed with many dogs, but it turns out that I really don't like the other boy dogs that much, and the girls are cuter . I also prefer to dine alone, and my toys that my friends buy for me are mine, so please don't make me share. I LOVE humans. I have yet to meet a stranger. The little peoples are fun too, but sometimes I think it's fun to knock them over, and I'm the only one laughing . I love my crate, and make sure my potties are outside. I love any adventure the humans take me on: car rides, camping, floating, walking, parks, stores, etc. Despite social distancing, I don't really have a concept of personal space, so if you're looking for a shadow, I am the one for you! I am as cute on the inside as I am on the outside, and I'd love to meet you, so you can admire me, as I love the atte ntion. Hope to see you soon!

Charkey ’s adoption fee is $100.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
