FENCE REQUIRED
Hi, I’m Charlotte, but my pals call me “Charley.” I’m alert and energetic and have all the traits of a Jack
Russell Terrier. If you don’t know my breed, I hope you’ll Google it to see more about who I am. I’m
super cute, but I am not a fluff-ball. I’m a working dog and if you make me happy, you can laugh when
you see my little tale wag.
You’re perfect for me if I’ll be your only pet and you’ll be active with me. As long as you keep me well
exercised or give me some work or a puzzle, I’ll stay out of trouble. After all, I am a working breed so
keep me working.
My favorite thing to do is to play fetch with a tennis ball. I’ll bring the ball back and drop it for you and
stare at it until you throw it again. And if it goes to a place where I can’t get it, I’ll stand there and stare
at the spot where it went until you rescue it for me. I also love squeaky toys, but like most dogs, I tend
to destroy them after a while so make sure you monitor me. I don’t chew on anything other than my
toys.
I don’t bark unless someone (or a cat or a dog or a deer) is in front of my house. Sometimes I also bark
when I get excited to go for a walk. And sometimes I whine when I need to go outside please.
I’m really good on a leash as long as you have something like a harness lead. Please don’t use the
expandable leash with me. It really confuses me and you won’t have the control you need to redirect me
when I see another dog. My foster mom even says I don’t chase squirrels much, just other dogs and the
occasional truck/trailer. So please keep me safe.
Also, if you have little kids, even though I’m little too, I’m a hunting dog and can be sensitive if someone
pulls on me or mistreats my fur or tail.
