My name is Tess. My foster mom says I am a good girl and so darn cute. I am 2-3 years old.  I’m a Boxer pit mix. I have a gorgeous brindle coat! Looks like a tiger! I have a little bit of white on my chest. I weigh about 45 pounds. I’m the perfect medium size dog. 
 
 
I live with two other dogs. We get along great.  I am not real sure about cats but am willing to try it out. Sometimes I get a little protective of my foster mom. I will growl at the other dogs until I am redirected then things are fine. I love attention and belly rubs. 
 
I am potty trained. I am not a fan of being in a kennel. With my foster parents being home all the time I don’t have to go in it. But in order for me to be successful they are going to start putting me in a few hours at a time.   
 
I love toys! Especially ones that squeak! But my favorite toys are the ones I can chew on! 
 
I am a free spirit! I love to run as fast as I can while leaping over any obstacles in my yard. I love playing in the water! I definitely need a yard with a fence. My foster mom was told I was a fence hopper but she has a six foot fence and I’ve had no problems. I will need a family with patience that can continue to do basic training with me. 
 
I enjoy having dog siblings but could do really well as a one dog family. I think older human siblings (9 and up) would be a better fit for me.

Tess ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
