Pongo is a very sweet boy. He is very shy and unsure at first but very affectionate once he gets familiar with someone. At his current foster home, he gets along well with the other dog. He enjoys sleeping on the couch, in bed with you, or in his crate. He has been left out of the crate for short periods of time with no problems. He is house-broken and knows "sit". He responds to whistles and treats. He gets really excited when it is time to eat or if you go near his leash. He has been "kid" tested, and made friends quickly with an older child, was a scared of younger child due to fast movements.

Pongo is undergoing heartworm treatment. He has completed his injections but will be on activity rest until July. Once he is allowed, he would love to have a big yard to play in. He is playful when he wants to be, and a lazy boy the rest of the time. He's happy lounging around the house by himself. A very good boy who would make an excellent companion for someone looking for an adult dog.

Pongo ’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
