Hi! My name is Franklin (Frankie) and I am a 1-year-old hound mix. I’m a goofy, sweet, energetic pup who loves playing outside and chewing on toys. I’m excellent in my crate when my foster mom is out of the house but am happiest when I can have free reign of the house and my toys! I love play-fighting with my foster sister pup and would do well in a house with another dog to play with or with a family who can dedicate lots of time to keeping me active and engaged. I do get a little bit too excited with my cat foster-sister and sometimes chase her which scares her. However, my foster mom thinks I’ll do fine in a house with cats as long as we have some time to adjust to each other as I'm not aggressive with them, just excited to meet.

I haven’t had many accidents in the house (except when it was raining and I didn’t want to go outside). I haven’t ever been trained, although I am starting to become a little more familiar with some basic commands including “sit” and I am very treat-motivated so should be easy to train with time and patience.

Although I haven’t been around kids since coming into foster care, my foster mom thinks I will do well with them as I get along well with people and other animals and am quite submissive. She thinks I would make a wonderful family pet given my sweet personality, energy and eagerness to please.

I’m so excited to find my forever home so if you think we might be a good match, please fill out an application!
