Shiba

English Cocker Spaniel
Approx. 5 years old
Approx. 40 lbs
Energy: low
House trained & crate trained

Lookout world, 2020 is Shiba's year. She is currently in the middle of her fitness journey, so if you also have some new year fitness goals, Shiba can be your buddy. When we first received Shiba she was 51 lbs (double the weight her breed should be). In only one week she lost 5 lbs or 10% of her body weight. Shiba loves to play fetch, go for walks, and spending time with her humans. Shiba is the sweetest girl, she's crate trained, and she can be trusted home alone.

Shiba has made a lot of progress with her health and has really blossomed with the extra TLC, she will need owners that will continue her diet and exercise her regularly. Shiba does have a skin condition that is improving with time and the vet did find that she has low thyroid levels, so she takes a daily thyroid medication.

If you are interested in meeting Shiba, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Shiba ’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
