Scout is a 3 year old bundle of sweetness! She is a Shar Pei mix and weighs about 60 lbs. Her previous owner had her since she was a puppy and had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her find a different forever home because they now have 2 children under the age of two. She wasn’t getting the attention she needed and the unpredictability of young ones made her stress out. She never showed any signs of aggression with the kids, but older children who can play with her and treat her well would be a better fit. She grew up with other dogs and could be an only dog or have dog siblings to play with. She is a little shy at first, but is really friendly and warms up to you right away if you start out slowly. (Within 2 hours, she was best friends with her foster mom.) She rides well in the car, and is crate trained, housebroken, good with kids (older kids are better), good with dogs, friendly with people, playful and affectionate (loves to snuggle and would love to be a 60lb. lap dog). She also loves walks and would love to chase squirrels if her foster mom would let her!

Scout ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
