About Oskar | |

|
Meet Oskar! He is a pure bred Boston Terrier who is 1 year old and 18 pounds. Oskar was surrendered by his former family because they were unable to housebreak him. He is doing very well in his foster home with a structured potty schedule and lots of praise. He hasn’t had an accident in his foster house in weeks. Oskar is crate trained and good with men and women. He does great with kids but is too excited around small kids so he would not be suitable for a home with small kids. He is not good with cats. Oskar loves walks but will bark and growl at people and dogs. He is doing well with positive training to minimize this behavior. Oskar loves to cuddle and play with toys.
Oskar recently had knee surgery on his left knee for a luxating patella and may need surgery on his right knee. The Rescue will not know whether he will need a second surgery until he is fully healed. Nonetheless, the Rescue will pay for his second knee surgery at our approved vet if it is determined that it is needed. His adoptive home should be prepared to work with the Rescue to get him to necessary follow up appointments at our vet and to rest him if surgery is needed.
If you are interested in meeting Oskar, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Oskar’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
