Chip

3 yrs old, 35 lbs

Chihuahua/Dachshund mix

Smooth short coat, long body. Low energy.

House trained but will use a potty pad if left alone for long periods of time, such as if you are at work.

Walks great on a leash, rides well in a car. He does not like a crate.

Chip gets along well with other dogs, big and small. He is currently in a foster home with a cat, he does not bother the cat, but when the cat is near he backs away and is afraid of the kitty.

Chip loves to snuggle or play with toys, so he would gladly snuggle on the couch with you, play games or play with some toys. At night he will sleep in another room on his bed, but he would really love to sleep in the bed with his human. He can be a bit vocal when his humans leave for work or to run errands so apartment life would not be best for Chip.

If you are interested in meeting Chip, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Chip ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
