I'm Bella, a 9 lb, 8 month old, female Maltese Mix!  Not sure what I am mixed with, but I do have some long legs!  I was surrendered because I was very very scared of people and my family no longer wanted me.  I also have never been taught how to actually be a dog because I am afraid of steps, loud noises and outside still scares me.
******** My Foster Mom said to tell you "I AM A WORK IN PROGRESS!"
 
Needy Paws took me in and my foster mom has spent every moment with me for 2 weeks helping me understand human touch and just how to be a dog.
 
  • I do all of my pottying on potty pads inside the house.
  • My foster mom is still working with me in the yard, but it is a very scary place, and I do not do well on leash.  She will work with me by letting me drag a leash around the yard to get use to it and to catch me!
  • I love to play with toys and run around the house with other playful dogs.
  • I'd really love to have a furry sibling to play with in my forever home.
  • I will take a treat from your fingers, but if you try to pet me, I will back away.  Right now I still have to build up my trust.
  • My foster mom said to tell everyone that it is hard to catch me to pick me up, so she just traps me in the hallway to pick me up.  And she said you can leave a little leash on me in the house so she can use that to get me.  She gets smarter every day!
  • Then she sets me on her lap while we rock and watch TV.  Once on her lap, I am relaxed while she rubs her fingers through my hair telling me how pretty I am.

She will contact you and discuss how you could help me grow and understand being a dog.

Bella ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
