Hi, my name is Auburn, and I was rescued from Crowder, MO.  We have a big stray population down there and I was one of the lucky ones rescued by Needy Paws.  I am about 2 years old and weigh about 30 lbs.  I am small so maybe I am some kind of terrier mix.  I am so happy to be in a home now that I will come up to you for attention and to be petted. I am good with other dogs, crate trained and housebroke.  I am still learning how to walk on a leash  and will run away if I have the chance, therefore I MUST have a fully fenced yard.

Sadly, I do have heart worms and I am on meds for that. I will get my first heart worm injection on July 23rd and then 30 days later I will get injections 2 days in a row, then I will need to stay calm for another 2 months. I can be adopted at anytime though to the right family. If you know about heart worm treatment then you already know what kind of home I need at first.  Needy Paws will also educate anyone that might be interested in me.

If you are interested in meeting Auburn, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Auburn ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
