Possum is a 1 year old pit/terrier mix.

Possum is an adventurer, he loves to go and explore! When he was younger on one of his adventures, he was hit by a car and left on the side of the road. Both hips were broken but thanks to CARE STL and Needy Paws Rescue, Possum has had multiple surgeries to fix these injuries and he is on the road to recovery!

Possum is looking for someone who will keep him active and healthy. He walks well on a leash but would love a fenced in backyard to run in. He is good with other dogs and cats. He loves to chew on bones, chase balls plus cuddle and gives the best kisses.

This loving guy needs a home that understand he needs to keep his hips strong and will need the right diet and exercise to stay strong as not to become a couch potato plus will need supplements and monitoring of his hips for the rest of his life.

Possum is medium energy who would make a great camping / hiking partner. He is always ready for the next adventure.

Possum’s adoption fee is $100, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
