Meet Leo! Leo is a regal golden retriever/lab mix. With his beautiful red coat and sparkling amber eyes, he looks like a little lion cub.

Leo is 7 months old and at 42 lbs, he's a bit underweight, but he's eating lots of nutritious food in his foster home to get him back to a healthy size.

Leo is a gentle, loving boy who will press his head into your lap for pets and scratches. He's doing well with his crate and potty training. He is getting used to riding in the car and he’s getting more and more comfortable going on walks with a leash and harness. He would do best with an experienced owner who can give him the structure he needs to feel secure. An obedience class would be a fantastic way to build his confidence!

Leo would love a home with another dog to show him the ropes. If he's an only dog, he will need to have opportunities to socialize with other dogs. I think he would be great with children, especially if they work on his training with him. So far, he isn't a big barker. He will need a fenced yard so that he can exercise those long puppy legs.

Leo ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
