Oscar is a sweet, timid, young man who loves snuggles, and CHEESE.
Oscar,
along with 4 other family members, were found in a rural part of Missouri, where dogs are often dumped. All 5 dogs are heart-worm positive. Oscars foster mom is getting to know his personality one day at a time, as he gets more comfortable with home life, he will begin to come out of his shell a bit more. He is extremely loving, and sweet, spends most of his time lounging around the house in his dog bed, or on the sofa. He really loves being around his people, so will lay near wherever you are located. He is working on house training, as well as leash training. He feels safe, and comfortable in his crate, and is crate trained. We can only imagine what this little guy went through, living outside for however long, so he scares a bit when he hears loud noises. He scare pees a little when you approach him too abruptly, or try and pick him up too fast. Oscar loves sun bathing on the desk, and being outside. As stated earlier, he loves cheese. His foster mom gives him cheese when he takes his daily medicine, and he comes running when he hears the cheese come out of the fridge. Right now Oscar is scared of stairs, and walking them, his foster mom is working with him slowly to moved past this fear. He will concur this fear, his foster mom has no doubt.

His foster family is working with him on   his fears,  , and believe with love, patience, and care, he will begin to trust people more, and not be so scared.
Oscar
will need a family that will continue to socialize him.
He is able to be adopted while going through his heart-worm treatment if the family understands the importance of his care. If an adopter is more comfortable waiting until he completes his treatment his foster mom will keep him until treatment is over
