If you want an EASY dog, Oscar is your boy.  And he’s so happy!  He loves walks, but only short ones like around a block or two.  If you take him on long walks he gets tired and starts going up to each house hoping they will let him inside to rest.  He likes to sleep in until he hears you getting up, and then he’s excited for the day.  He learns quickly, is completely house and kennel trained and  doesn’t chew on things he’s not supposed to.   His foster mom is a meany and doesn’t let him get on the furniture so he sleeps on his dog bed by her bed and when no one is around the empty boxes he could easily move, that are left there as a deterrent, are enough to keep him off the couch.  He knows “no”, sit, lay down, and stay and never takes food off the table.  This spunky boy is about 50 lbs. and a tri-pod.  But only having 3 legs doesn’t slow him down.  He jumps in cars and loves car rides, does stairs, and runs around like a champ.  He does well with playing on his own, but loves getting petted, belly rubs, and someone to scratch his back.  Oscar can get a little anxious when new people come around, but if they ignore him for a little while he warms up and loves to get a good ear scratch.  He’s good with kids and could probably do great in an apartment or condo as he really could take or leave being outside.  Oscar does need to be an only dog as he gets possessive of his toys, but he’s got enough love and good nature that you’ll only need one dog.  If you think Oscar is a good fit for you fill out an application for him today!

Oscar Meyer ’s adoption fee is $100.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
