Hi, I'm Seamus.  Erin go Bragh!   I was saved from the cold in rural Popular Bluff, MO where I was dumped. I was in pretty bad shape. You can see my ribs, I have Heartworms and a few other minor medical issues. The good news is, I am on the path back to health. I am shy and quiet from not being around people much, but with some patience I would love to be a part of a family. My foster family thinks I'm pretty cute. They love my beautiful hazel eyes and the light red spots in my fur around my face and ears. I weigh 60 pounds, but need to put on some weight. (The regular meals here are great!) The vet guessed I'm around 1 year old. I am working on that potty training stuff. I do go potty outside, but need some puppy pads inside and have a few accidents. I'm a smart boy though and I know with practice I will get it.

*Interested families will need to see Seamus through treatment for Heartworms. (https://www.heartwormsociety.org/heartworm-positive-dogs) Seamus has begun taking pills and will need his first injection in a little under a month and have restricted exercise. All of this is covered by the rescue.

If you are interested in meeting Seamus, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Seamus ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
