Cookie
*She is small but has some tall legs that help her dart quickly across the yard or bounce around like a rabbit.
*She has not been kid tested as of 3/1.
*Good with dogs - yes! She has been fine with her foster sister who is a Chiweenie.
*She has not cat tested as of 3/1.
*Her energy level is low to medium. She gets burst of energy and likes to run around yard.
*We are working on house training. She will usually go out when taken but doesn't always potty. She needs to be walked around otherwise she just stays by her foster mom's side.
*Crate training is being worked on as well. Cookie currently has some anxiety with crating. She does bark and whine about this however she is quiet otherwise. Her foster mom and support group have no doubt that with time & care that she will get fully adjusted. Until her anxiety is resolved, she may not be the best dog for apartment life. She gets very excited and jumpy when mom comes home and lets her out of her crate.
*Cookie walks fine on a leash. In the yard, she follows her foster mom around and stays by her side unless running back to the door to the house. Her foster mom has a fenced yard but she typically does not leave mom's side much when outside. She does stop and listen to the noises of the city or other neighborhood dogs but does not bolt in any direction when she does hear them. When called she typically comes running.
*She rides well in the car and doesn't whine when left in the car when foster mom runs in to a store.
*Cookie can be shy but super loving. She takes a bit to warm up. She is good with being held, loves to sit on the couch with or sleeping next to you. Cookie would make a great companion for an older couple or single person, a family with a mildly active or casual traveling lifestyle.
