Balou is such a sweet boy and pretty calm for only a puppy! He’s super playful but loves to snuggle up next to you and be by your side. His favorite thing is to run to you and then immediately plop down on your feet for belly rubs. He gets along well with other dogs and is submissive when other dogs let him know they’re done playing. Not sure about kids or cats, but would imagine he’d be just fine since he’s still little and learning quickly. Balou is very eager to please, and listens when we let him know he’s getting into something he’s not supposed to.

We are currently working on crate training, but sleeps great at night. He will whine at first, but then calms down and falls asleep. He even walked in on his own the other day to put himself down for a nap. He’s had a couple accidents in the house but is quickly learning to go potty outside- and goes to the same spot every time he’s let out. He’s a smart little guy, and will need someone who is patient and willing to put in the time to train and love him.  Balou is a typical puppy that will require ongoing training.

Balou’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
