   My name is Tippy.  I'm a little 5 yr old, female, Chihuahua Mix weighing about 6 lbs.  I had a sad previous life in a hoarder breeder home so I never learned how to be a family dog.
  Since Apr 2, my foster mom taught me to go up the steps but still working on go down the steps.  I learned to potty outside and haven't had an accident in the house recently.
   Because of my history, I'm still timid/shy around new people.  In 4 weeks I have warmed up to my foster mom and I know I will love you the same way.         My favorite thing is to lay in her lap and to be carried around.
I like playing with dogs my size; however, I am an alpha female in the group.
    I would probably do better with more submissive little dogs since I sometimes want to in charge. 
    I never had a harness or leash, so I'm still practicing the walking on a leash thing.
   I'm not really fond of my crate, so my foster mom lets me hang out in the kitchen when she's gone.  So far, I've not bothered anything.
   If you love me and have patience with me, I know that I could be the family dog I was meant to be.  I would love to trust and be happy with a new family!

Tippy ’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
