Freeze is a handsome, soft, loving Jack Russell Terrier; 2 year old (approx); about 16 lbs., very sweet personality, so happy to be in a loving home with company. This amazing guy lived in a crate his whole life before freedom. (hoarder situation) He was crated with another dog and she was taken away. Being left alone, he refused to come out of the crate. Imagine 24/7 in a crate for a couple months. Hence his rescue name “Freeze", he was petrified and would not move or make eye contact. So considering all he’s endured, he is a super champ! Truly. He is not aggressive, really wants to please, and loves playing and hanging with other dogs. He really deserves to not live in a crate again! Occasionally for a few hours is ok, but not daily.

Currently he sleeps in our bed with my other Jack Russell Terriers and he's a polite, snuggly fellow. He goes potty outside quickly when taken out, he’s still working on telling me when he needs to go out. A doggy door is a wonderful thing with these dogs, they can let themselves out/in to get some air, sunshine and potty break. Changed our life when we put one in. Of course that requires a fenced yard.

He is still startled easily at fast motions and sounds, and he’s working on trusting men. He’s not aggressive, just very afraid to be close. He’s going to need some patience to help him learn to trust again. He is very capable and smart, already sits and comes when called. He is fine with kids but still startled easily. Haven’t tested him around cats yet. Research the breed; they need exercise, fenced yard, lots of company, best of all they are happy dogs and very entertaining to have as companions. Mine make me laugh every single day.

Please consider adopting this boy. It’s so gratifying to see him longingly look you in the eyes as his rescuer... “Thank you for loving me!” … for the rest of his life.
