Riley J just turned 6 years old. So he's lively but not rowdy. Riley Jis super affectionate to his people and does well with other dogs. He has lived with cats and has gotten along just fine with them. 

​He was rescued almost 3 years ago from Metro East Humane Society and it was obvious he was super submissive and very afraid. His mom, Dad and kids worked with him to gain his confidence. Soon Riley J was comfy and secure. 

​Unfortunately, due to no fault of his own, he needed to be rehomed due to a family health crisis. 

​Riley J is great with dogs, potty trained and he is crate trained. 

​He would do best with a fenced in yard, and a family who can be around to give him his twice daily dose of meds at specific times for seizures. Since being on medication ( 2 years) he has not had any seizures and the vet says he has no disease, he just has seizures. 

​He is slightly hand shy around his head. He might do best with children over the age of 12, a calmer environment etc. Riley J does have a beagle nose and counter surfs so he could use some correction. But otherwise this pup is super sweet.

Riley J ’s adoption fee is $100.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
