|
Sherman is a wonderful little senior lap dog. He came from animal control as a stray, but it is evident that he had a loving and good home at some point. He is fully potty trained and will stand by the door to tell you when he needs to go outside. He can also sit and come on command with pretty good consistency. He walks fine on a leash, so a fenced in yard would not be required. He gets along with our other dogs and does not interact with them very much, just mostly peacefully coexists. We haven’t tested him with cats, but I imagine it would be the same. He walks fine but does have some trouble with stairs-if you want to take him up a flight of more than 2 stairs, he will need to be carried. He also has cataracts in his eyes, but they don’t seem to slow him down at all! He does fine in a crate, but we’ve been able to leave him outside of the crate when we leave the house and he has no issues. With his old age, I think he wouldn’t be great in a house with super young children, but older children would be fine. He is a very sweet, low maintenance senior dog, and would be a delightful pet.
