Johna is a 7 month old female mix with maybe boxer, plott hound or a little pit.  She has the lean body of a plot hound but a head more like a boxer.  She's energetic and loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home.  She plays a little rough when she first gets out of her crate after her foster mom gets home from work.  She would do best with a dog closer to her size.   She's guessed to be about 40 lbs.  She's a kisser and likes to lay on the floor next to her foster mom leaning on her feet when her foster mom is getting ready for work.  She is very smart and learned quickly she is not allowed on the bed (although the dogs that live there are) and she learned to sit very quickly for a treat.  She would be a great running partner.  She's been in her foster home for a week and has not had any accidents although there is a doggie door at her foster home available most times.  She easily goes in her crate for a treat.

If you are interested in meeting Johna, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Johna ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
