Bella Jo is a terrier mix, 3 years old, female, scruffy [wiry haired], sweet girl that loves to play fetch, walk & run but still needs to learn manners.  She weighs almost 30 pounds, so she is a medium-small dog.   Bella Jo is great with other dogs and loves to play!  She knows, "sit", "down", "come", but does not always cooperate with you.  We are working on that.  She loves to run and walks good on a leash.  She is house trained and sleeps through the entire night. She is bad about jumping up on people and we are working on that, as well.  She enjoys snuggling with you on sofa and in bed, if you want.  I believe she needs a generous yard to run around in, but may be a good running partner with her endurance training.        

Bella Jo is not a barker out windows/cars, but does bark somewhat when playing with other dogs. She is timid and will hide from you under the table and you will need to be understanding that she needs time to trust you and learn your new household.  She loves to ride in a car and go to park for walks.  She is growing in her confidence everyday and will need to continue this training until she is fully cooperative in your household.     

She loves to play fetch, the right way, with a ball or a rope bone or a squeaky toy in the house, and she likes her Kong with peanut butter in kennel.  We also play fetch with tennis ball outside in yard. She does tire quickly, so will not wear out your arm.    

I have easily bathed her in walk in shower with personal sprayer and she was very cooperative with me then.  She is easy to wipe off her feet after being outside and does not fight you with the towel. She loves her treats and is not a good eater but has normal bathroom practices.  She is spayed, UTD on shots/monthly preventatives, HW negative, and ready for her furever family.

Bella Jo ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
