Derby is a male, approximately 2 years old.  He appears to possibly be an Aussie mix.  He was rescued from the animal shelter, literally hours before being put down. Derby is THE sweetest dog.  He gets along well with other dogs, and hasn't met a person he doesn't like.  Not sure about cats, but he is so laid back, I don't think he would even know. He knows some basic commands and walks well on a leash (unless he is scared).  He is house trained and does well out of a crate during the day and evening, although can do well in a crate as well.  He is not a barker, and not reactive to many triggers for other dogs. He is currently finishing his treatment to get rid of heartworms.  This dog will melt your heart if you give him a chance.  Pictures don't do this sweet boy justice...come see for yourself.

Derby ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
