Meet Douglas! He's a 7 year old red Dachshund who is small in size but makes up for it in personality. Douglas loves to play with plush and squeaky toys and he loves to fetch toys that are thrown - he just isn't the best about giving them back! He explores the neighborhood on walks but is content to sniff around his yard as well. He is house broken and great in his crate when his foster mom is gone. In the evenings, he likes to snuggle on a lap whenever possible. Douglas is a little shy with new people and specifically seems to be afraid of some men. His ideal home would be able to give him enough exercise to keep him fit since long dogs may develop back problems if allowed to become obese. He also needs a home without young children since his previous home had children that didn't treat him appropriately.

Douglas’ adoption fee is $175.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
